1,388 job adverts for at least 2,347 positions were posted on the WORC Jobs Portal in October 2026 by 838 employers (adverts open on or after 28 October, when our daily record began). The most advertised types of work were Construction & trades (280), Cleaning & domestic work (125), Admin, HR & management (119). Across 1,226 adverts with full pay details, the median advertised pay was CI$26,325 a year.
Key findings

How we worked this out
- Source. Every public advert on the WORC Jobs Portal, recorded by Cayman Job Finder three times a day. Cayman Job Finder is independent and is not associated with WORC or the Cayman Islands Government; these are not WORC's statistics.
- Which adverts. Adverts whose WORC posting date falls in October 2026. Our daily record began on 28 October 2026, so adverts posted early in the month that had already closed by then are not counted. That is why the first week looks small. From November, each edition covers the whole month.
- Sectors are worked out from the job title, because WORC adverts have no sector field. Job titles are grouped when they differ only in spelling.
- Pay. We take the midpoint of each advert's stated range and convert it to a yearly figure in Cayman dollars (hourly pay uses the advertised hours; US$ at CI$1 = US$1.20). A median is shown only where at least 5 adverts state a pay we can convert, and the number of adverts is always given. Gratuities are not included.
- Positions are the number of vacancies each advert states (1 if none is given). For the 143 adverts that had already closed when this edition was generated we hold no position count, so each counts as 1 and position totals are a minimum.
- Pay medians use the 1,245 of 1,388 adverts for which we hold full pay details, including weekly hours (not the adverts that had already closed when this edition was generated).
