Choosing your first Cayman employer
If your first Cayman job is on a work permit granted under the 2026 law, you must normally stay with that employer for at least two years or leave the Cayman Islands for a year, unless the Director of WORC grants an exemption (WORC FAQ). So check the advert and the employer before you accept: every WORC advert must state the salary range and benefits, hours of work and working conditions (WORC advertising policy). On 30 October 2026, 858 employers have open adverts on Cayman Job Finder; the table below lists the 25 direct employers with the most, with their median advertised pay.
Why the first employer matters: the two-year rule
Work permit holders granted a permit under the new law must stay with the sponsoring employer for at least two years. Leaving earlier means leaving the Cayman Islands for one year, unless the Director of WORC grants an exemption (for example unpaid overtime, unpaid work outside the job description, discrimination, retaliation for complaints or harassment), applied for within three working days of leaving (WORC Legislation / Regulation Changes FAQ). Details and dates: WORC rules 2026.
What to check before you accept
- Pay and benefits are in the advert. WORC adverts must state the salary range and all benefits, hours of work, job type and working conditions (WORC advertising policy, section 4.3). Compare the offer with the advert and with advertised pay for the same job title.
- The job is real. Every WORC advert has a WORC ID; never pay anyone for a job or a permit (job scams guide, work permit fees).
- What else the employer is hiring for. Each employer page below lists all of its current adverts and their advertised pay.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change employer in my first two years on a Cayman work permit?
Holders of a work permit granted under the new law must stay with the sponsoring employer for at least two years; leaving earlier means leaving the Cayman Islands for one year unless the Director of WORC grants an exemption, for example for unpaid overtime, unpaid work outside the job description, discrimination, retaliation for complaints or harassment. The exemption application is due within three working days of leaving (WORC Legislation / Regulation Changes FAQ).
What should a Cayman job advert tell me?
A WORC Jobs Portal advert must include the job title and duties, minimum education and experience, salary range and all benefits, the closing date, number of vacancies, location, hours of work, job type, working conditions and any special requirements (WORC Advertising and Recruitment Feedback Requirements Policy, section 4.3).
Should I pay to get a job or work permit in Cayman?
No. WORC and the Ministry warn about people who ask for money to secure a work permit; see our job scams guide.
Does Cayman Job Finder rate employers?
No. We show facts from current adverts only: how many jobs an employer is advertising, what kind of work and the advertised pay. We do not publish ratings, reviews or staff turnover.
