Temporary Helpers

NCI Freight & Logistics Ltd. is seeking hardworking, physically fit, reliable, and dependable Temporary Helpers to support its freight handling, moving, warehousing, furniture installation, and project logistics operations.

This is a physically demanding position requiring individuals who can perform strenuous manual labour, work effectively as part of a team, and maintain high standards of safety, productivity, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and unloading 20-foot and 40-foot shipping containers, trucks, and delivery vehicles.

Lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning heavy furniture, equipment, cargo, and materials.

Climbing safely onto and off trucks and loading platforms, including performing repetitive bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Operating forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment, where appropriately trained and authorized.

Assisting with residential and commercial relocations, furniture deliveries, assembly, and installation.

Supporting warehouse operations, cargo organization, and general logistics assignments.

Working outdoors in hot and humid weather conditions, including direct sunlight.

Ensuring careful handling and protection of customers' property, furniture, and cargo.

Maintaining clean, safe, and organized working environments.

Working collaboratively with team members to complete assignments safely and efficiently.

Mandatory Requirements

Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous manual labour, including repetitive heavy lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Teamwork, punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail are mandatory.

Must possess a clean police clearance certificate and provide a valid copy upon request.

Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and physically demanding environments.

Must be capable of safely climbing onto and off trucks and loading platforms.

Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, discipline, honesty, and professionalism.

Must be able to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company operational standards.

Must work effectively with others and meet established deadlines.

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.

Previous experience in moving, freight handling, warehousing, or logistics is an advantage.

Forklift operating experience is an asset.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break.

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, including a 30-minute break.

Additional hours may be required depending on operational demands.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Wage: CI$8.75 – CI$12.00 per hour, depending on experience and capabilities.

Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid health insurance coverage.

Pension: 5% employer pension contribution, subject to applicable statutory eligibility requirements.

Overtime: Compensation in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands labour laws.

Employer-paid health insurance and pension contributions are provided in addition to the advertised hourly wage, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
