Janitor

Do It Right Janitorial is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Janitor to join our professional cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation across commercial, residential, and corporate client properties.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general and deep commercial and residential cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.

Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens, and common areas.

Operate and maintain commercial floor care equipment, buffers, and standard janitorial machinery safely and effectively.

Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal across assigned properties.

Mix and handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants safely in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Perform minor routine maintenance touches (e.g., spot-cleaning glass/windows, reporting property maintenance issues to management).

Secure facilities (locking doors, windows, and turning off lights) upon completion of shifts.

Qualifications, Skills & Mandatory Requirements Experience: A strict minimum of 3+ years of verifiable professional experience in commercial/janitorial cleaning is required.

Vetting Requirements: Must provide a clean Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last 6 months) and pass a Medical Examination upon offer of employment.

Schedule & Compensation: Full-time 40 hours per week at CI$8.75 per hour, plus statutory Health Insurance, Pension, and Vacation benefits. Must be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as client schedules demand.

Physical & Technical Capabilities: Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/bending for extended periods, and knowledgeable in the safe use of commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, trustworthiness, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
