Grocery Clerk

Asking customers about their needs and helping them in making purchases. Escorting customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing decisions. Providing excellent customer service. Ensuring the store is clean, safe, and in order. Stocking and replacing products to avoid any damages. Keeping shelves fully stocked with fresh products. Preparing store displays and ensuring that products are accurately labeled. Ordering out-of-stock products. Processing customer orders and payments. Discarding expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.

Qualifications

Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus. Great attention to detail. Good communication and people skills. Willing to work on shifting hours, weekends and holidays. With a clean police record. Training as evidenced by a minimum of 1-2 years retailing experience preferably in the Food Service Industry. Must have extensive knowledge of food service or grocery items, equipment, and disposable products. Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend fluent English and communicate with a range of internal and external customers. Ability to work well in a high transaction volume and fast-paced environment. Must have a strong ethic, including reliability and punctuality. Must be Computer literate and has proficiency with POS system is desired. Must have the ability to drive and a valid current driver's license.
